Cinderella is the 2015 Live Action remake of the classic Disney Cinderella from 1965. Okay so lets get right into this one! Cinderella was a pleasing movie , although I was apprehensive in the beginning to watch it my fears were washed away. With a star studded cast like Lily James as Cinderella from Downton Abbey, Helen Bonham as the fairy godmother from every Tim Burton film ever made , Cate Blanchett as the Wicked stepmother (award winning actress) and Game of Thrones star Richard Madden as the deviously handsome Prince Charming. With charming characters and wonderful set and costume design this film was not hard to enjoy. With its light heartedness it's pretty easy for anyone to take interest in it , from old to young age it's defiantly a true family oriented movie. Overall I delighted in watching this movie , I would give it a 4 out of 5. PS: MPAA You Suck!
It has been brought to my attention a couple years ago that many people dislike Anne Hathaway...Now that I have this blog I would like to address some thoughts in a calm and civilized mannerism. First off F*CK YOU. Now that's over secondly I would like to explain why I just used vulgar language. Growing up as a child one of my favorite movies to watch was The Princess Diaries starring well i'm sure you can guess by now Anne Hathaway. I looked up to this actress as child as did many of my peers. Hearing how people "hate" her on the internet triggers thoughts like hmm what insignificant prick just made a half-witted dull mined comment. I understand disliking an actor or an actress for their role in a certain performance or performances but not for the dumb moron-like reasons Anne Hathaway is disliked. I recently came across a 2012 Buzzfeed article written by one of these Half-Witt socialists which brought to my attention that people really hate Hathaway for very dumb reasons. An example , people often say that Anne Hathaway ruined The Dark Knight Rises in reality that's not exactly true that was Mr.Christian Bale (Batman) himself. Don't get me wrong I love some of Christian Bale's movies like American Hustle and Exodus but he was not a very good Batman with the voice and the overall performance it just was okay but not great much like the previous Batman movies that he had done. People also blame Anne Hathaway for ruining Ella Enchanted . I have read Ella Enchanted several times and seen the movies quite a few as well. I completely and utterly disagree because this goes back to the idea of Book to Movie adaptations are never perfect there always has to be tweaks or changes because the book format will simply not work. If I recall correctly Ella in Ella Enchanted is almost comprised of all of Ella's thought and not a lot of dialect which is why they had to change things in the movie adaptation. So don't go blaming Anne Hathaway on something that was out of her reach. Looks also play a large roll in the dislike of Hathaway, many of these stupid people claim that Anne has an "ugly face , a huge mouth" and other uncomplimentary things. People also hate her because they say she is too geeky and girlish for Hollywood but on the contrary Anne Hathaway is more similar to the average person. The average people that you probably know are a little bit awkward, a little bit geeky and not as prejudice as nearly all Hollywood actors are. Perhaps the real reason people dislike her is because people want to see an image of someone they could be with an up turned nose waving around cash with a moody personality not someone they already are... The Divergent Series: Insurgent is a 2015 YA Action Adventure Film. To start off if you have not seen Divergent leave now or forever hold your peace... I am going to begin with that I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, most critics and fans would seem to disagree. I in fact have read all the books and are aware of the plot changes. To all the Fangirls and Fanboys who are rolling their eyes right now going "hmmm I didn't like it blahblahblah..." GO F*** YOUR SELF.(sorry) As a reminder most of Insurgent was in Tris' mind and we did not need an inner monologue or narration for the whole movie I mean we've all seen how well that worked for Twlight...(did you catch the sarcasm?) Overall Insurgent was well acted and well directed and I am overall enthusiastic to see Allegiant part 1.The added humor made for an even better and more rounded film. I give it a solid 3 out of 5 for minor but important issues with the film.(*Spoilers*)
This movie literally sucked the life out of me and I didn't even mention that whole bomb BS.

How I Live Now is a 2013 British drama/thriller film. How I Live Now is a modern apocalyptic film about a teen named Elizabeth "Daisy" whom is sent to live with her cousins in England. While first Visiting "Daisy" is spiteful and cold it is then reveled she is anorexic and neurotic. This is then seen to first complicate any form of bonding that she could have with her cousins but eventually warms up to them and forms a romantic relationship with the eldest cousin Eddie. Throughout the story it shows the effects of the apocalypse in ways such as PTSD , overall shock , and grief. I would give this movie a 5 out of 5 in the apocalypse film genre and a 4.5 out of 5 overall as a Hollywood film. This reasoning was the way each indivual character reacted to the trauma they faced in real ways that real people would have reacted. The characters although were not happy go lucky I believed they were defiantly 3 dimensional instead of the usual Hollywood complacent 2D persona. The dialog was diverse although at times there was unnecessary cussing. Saoirse Ronan had a stunning performance in this production also adding to the 3D character aspect. I would most defiantly consider this one of my favorite films of recent. Tell me in the comments below what you thought of How I Live Now!
Rubinrot or Translated into English as Ruby Red is a 2012 German film. Rubinrot follows the Story of Gwendolyn Shepherd an average young teenager who finds herself caught between the past and present with time travelling powers. This modern day teenage take on time travelling is compelling and quite interesting, as the plot thickens throughout the story there is a romantic relationship developed by Gwendolyn and her time travelling partner Gideon. For a low budget German film this was quite good for it had romance , action , adventure and at times humor. If brought to the Hollywood box-office this may have been a different story for the cinematography was only okay , there were some odd jump cuts , the screen writers German to English translation had quite basic language diversity. The audio actors on the English version were satisfactory and mediocre. For full enjoyment it may better to watch the German version with English subtitles. As a teenage foreign film it was alright I would give it 4 out of 5. As a foreign film overall a 2.5 out of 5. As a teenage Hollywood film 4 out of 5 as well.
